Mark
Martelli's Biography
Mark Martelli is a New England based artist, living and working
in his studio in Revere.
Mark studied architecture at the University of Massachusetts,
then became interested in Fine Arts. He is a self taught artist
although he did take some life drawing courses at the Cambridge
center for adult education. He feels it helped him to gain
more perspective and add depth to his paintings. He has been
painting professionally for over 20 years, and has won numerous
awards for his work in local and regional shows.
Mark
has been commissioned to paint many portraits and murals
in private homes and restaurants (Jevelli's in East Boston,
Division Sixteen on Boylston St. (which was a twin effort)
Bennington's Muffin & Bagel in Revere to name a few.)
Mark's technique has been changing over the years from having
a more architecturally tighter style to a more loosely free-style
painter in his portraits, landscapes and fantasy paintings.
